The Belbin Team Roles model classifies the 9 distinct roles which can be performed by members of a productive team. Each role has its own particular strengths & weaknesses and makes unique contributions to a team's output.
The Belbin Team Roles assessment accurately determines which roles each member of a team is naturally suited for. This is based on their unique profile of natural tendencies, behaviors and working preferences.
Analysis of Belbin profiles across a team or organization can be used to optimise team structure. Team mapping is a technique used to distribute roles evenly across a team and assure that each member of the team is in a role which suits them.

The Belbin Team Roles® assessment reveals which roles within a team you are best suited to, based on your natural behaviours & thought patterns. Understanding your Belbin profile makes it easy for you to find a role which plays to your strengths & avoids your weaknesses.
All of the team members' individual reports are combined into a team report which highlights their collective strengths & weaknesses. Based on this we can explore job role adjustments that help to round-out the team's profile. The more well-rounded the team is, the better.
Belbin Assessments & Reports
The Belbin Team Roles Assessment consists of two parts: 'self-perception' (answering questions about yourself) and 'observed behavior' (describing the characteristics of your colleagues). Each person's individual report combines the data from their own self-perception with the observations of 6 of their colleagues. Your individual report details in which roles you will likely perform well, in which you are likely to struggle, and how to make the most of your unique abilities.
In addition, the individuals' reports are combined into a team report, which examines the team's mix of preferences & capabilities, and allows us to paint a picture of the whole team's dynamics.
Taking Action
Your individual report is an unbiased illustration of how you work, based on your own opinions and the opinions of others. For this reason it can be trusted to form the basis of your future development plans, and used to put you in positions where you will thrive.
The insights revealed in the team report can be used to re-imagine & optimise the team's structure. If there are any significant gaps or overlaps in the team's profile we can evaluate their impact and follow-up with remedial actions.
