Observer assessments play a key role in the Belbin Team Roles examination process. Each person is analyzed by multiple 'observers' (colleagues who have worked closely with them) so that the data is based on team members' actual behaviors, rather than their (possibly biased) self-perception.
By compiling the words used most commonly to describe the team members, we can see trends that indicate the overall culture of the team.
